Medical Textile FAQs
Can BMS handle my recurring production needs?
Yes, we can handle recurring production in two ways. We work with you from product inception, through development and animal/human trials, and stay with you as you launch your product and realize increased volumes. We can manufacture to your existing specifications.
What is denier?
Denier is a unit of weight by which yarn is measured. By definition, denier is the total mass of yarn in grams per 9,000 meters of length. The higher the denier, the heavier the meter of yarn. Dtex, likewise, is the weight of 10,000 meters.
What is the best manufacturing technique for my application?
Determining whether your structure is best serviced through braiding, knitting, weaving or a non-woven technique often requires our engineers to get involved. They will discuss with you the performance characteristics that you require for your application and suggest designs to meet your performance needs.
