Requirements - Five (5) years experience in biomedical or other medical manufacturing field
- B.S. in Engineering or other related field
- Experience with IQ, OQ and process validations
- Working knowledge of GMP and FDA requirements associated with medical device manufacturing
TEXTILE TECHNICIANS - experienced with textile processing equipment [weaving, knitting, braiding, and non-woven]. Able to prepare fiber, set up and operate machinery from written instructions. Must have exceptional attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
APPLICATION ENGINEER/PRODUCT MANAGER - Act as a liaison between the customer or sales contact and the internal manufacturing arm of the business to define the product, determine whether it can perform or be made, recommend a manufacturing procedure, set up the trials, test, select equipment set up the manufacturing systems and be the continuing liaison between the customer and the company as the product takes shape and the manufacturing challenges are identified and overcome. Candidate must have a background in textiles, woven, nonwoven, braided or knitted. Can define a knit structure, knows whether a fabric has the proper characteristics for the designated application; i.e. elongation, elastic memory, burst and break strength, perforation (pore) size, thickness, dernier, melting temperature, etc. Or, the candidate will design a new fabric to meet the specifications called out by the customer for the application. Candidate must also have a degree or experience in biomedical engineering preferably in a manufacturing environment. Further, the candidate must have experience or training in anatomy or physiology and be able to grasp the science of the application and guide the development of the textile to meet customer requirements and manufacturing constraints. The candidate must have requisite tact and patience to lead and carry the product development through the various stages of test, trials and acceptance to the final manufacturing solution.
